BOWLING
An invitation has been receive* by the secretary of Foxton Clu
(Mr. Downes) for bowlers to be present at the official opening of Shannon green on the 20th inst.
The preparation of the local green for the proposed opening on the first Wednesday in October is now going forward. A good deal of work is still required to be done, however, and with this in view a working bee will be held on the green to-morrow afternoon.
An important meeting of Committee will be held in Perreau's rooms at 7.30 o’clock on Thursday even-
