FIBRE QUEEN CONCERT.

The public attended in good numbers the Fibre Queen Committee’s second concert, held in the Royal Theatre on Thursday evening. The entertainment followed along the same lines as the previous one, and the various items submitted were accorded an excellent reception. The proceedings opened with an overture by Messrs H. George and E. Graham, the complete programme being as follows: —Opening chorus, “Here we are Again,” the company (Mesdames Cough trey, T. Fuller and Hirini, Misses Rankin, McArthy, Haydoek, Andrews, Vertqngen, Messrs T. Carter, T. Ellers, S. Hussey, P. H. Honour, and J. McGregor); comic trio, “Chick-chick-chicken,” Messrs T. Ellers, Barnett, Baiker; duet, “Lovely Weather,” Mr. T. Carter and Miss Andrews; song “Tacky Home,” Mrs Hirini and Chorus; vocal quartette, “Honolulu Hajney,” Messrs. Barnett, J. McGregor, T. Carter, Baker; song “Oh! Katherina,” Mrs Coughtrey and chorus; comic song, “As the Porcupine,” Mr. B. Barnett; song “Moonlight and Roses,” Mrs Hirini and chorusj chorus and dance, “Good English,” company; finale, “Just a. Sailor’s Sweetheart,” company.

Part 2. —Overture, Messrs H. George and E. Graham; poi dance, with guitar accompaniment by Native ladies and children; guitar and ukulele quartette, Messrs, J. McGregor, T. McDonald, H. Aprihama, T. Carter; song, “Roll ’em Girls,” B. Barnett and girls; duet “Huckleberry Finn,” Messrs Tui Carter and A. Baker ; song “Dreamy Hawaii,” Mrs Coughtrey; comic song, “Fibre Fancy Ball,” Mr. Haydoek; comic sketch, Messrs C. Prew, and T. Ellers; finale, “Ah Ha v ” company Messrs B. Barnett and A. Baker again excelled themselves as funny cornermen, and at intervals throughout the programme limericks and songs composed of local “hits” created much amusement. Mr. M. E. Perreau returned thanks on behalf of the Committee to those who had assisted in making the programme a success, and to the public for attending in such large numbers. A box of chocolates drawn for by a small boy from the audience resulted in the prize going to Mrs T. Tuna.
