HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY
Thursday, show day, will soon be here. The committee hope that everyone who has blooms will bring them along. Don’t come along to the show and say you’ve got better at home. Bring them and talk afterwards. Also, its no use growling about the weather —that is the same of everyone. No decorated tables this time as room is limited in the Masonic Hall —so bring along your flowers and enter in the decorative section.
We hope there will be a good number of entries for Nos. 78, 70 and 80. Such prizes are not likely to be given again if there is not sufficient competition. Mrs Ross and Mrs Heasman will be grateful for contributions to the cake-stall.
Some good concert items will be given in the evening, and the band will be in attendance.
Entries will be taken upstairs in Ross’ Buildings from 3 to 5 and from 7to 8 p.m. Schedules can be obtained at Perreau’s and Wall’s.
Exhibitors are asked to bring as many bottles as possible for their exhibits, as the society is short of vases.
