SACRED CONCERT.
There was a good attendance at the sacred concert held in the Royal Theatre on Sunday night, organised by the Sport’s Queen Carnival Committee. The programme opened with the singing of well-known hymns led by Mr. Powell, in which the audience joined. Solos were contributed by Mr. King, Mrs S. Barber, Mr. Mason, Mr. Barron, Mr. Powell, Miss K. Martin, Mr. G. F. Smith. “Lead Kindly Light,” sang as a quartette by Messrs Powell, Barron, King and Mason was much appreciated.
