BOWLING.

The secretary of the local Club (Mr. Downes) has received notice that Northern Bowling Club (Palmerston North) intend opening the green for play on Saturday, October 3rd. Levin Club have decided on Wednesday, 13th October as their opening^date.

In view of the near approach of the opening of the local green, some activity must be shown in the preparation of the Club’s grounds. To this end a “working bee” will be held to-morrow afternoon, when as many members as can possibly do so are asked to be present.
