WEDDING.

The wedding took place at Palmerston N. on Tuesday last of Mr Percy" F. Saxby, headmaster of the Monton school, and Miss Irene L. Moore, of: Christchurch. Mr and Mrs Saxby have taken up their residence at Moutoa and on Thursday evening members of the Moutoa School Committee waited upon the happy couple and made them the recipients of a Wedgewood salad bowl and cut glass vase. Mr Gregory made the presentation on behalf of the Committee and wished Mr and Mrs Saxby long life, health and happiness. Mr Saxby suitably acknowledged the gift and the kindly expressions accompany - ing it. „ Last night the young people of the district paid a surprise visit to Mr and Mrs Saxby and gave them a cordial welcome home and spent an enjoyable evening.
