SCHOOLMASTER’S PETITION.
John F. C. Hiddleston, schoolmaster, petitioned Parliament yesterday for an inquiry into the circumstances leading up to his resignation from the position of headmaster of the Takaka District High School. Petitioner alleged that the position was believed to have been lost through the personal enmity shown towards him by Mi’ G. Pitcaithly, formerly senior inspector of schools for the Nelson district.
