ABUSE OF TRUST.
MISAPPROPRIATION OF £IOOO. Auckland, August 18. Twelve months’ reformative detention was imposed by Mr. Justice Stringer on a land salesman, Stanley Thomas, who was found guilty of misappropriation of money connected with the subdivision and sale of Papakura station estate. His Honour said the accused was engaged by an old man, Mr. Pric-tor, to carry out a land transaction. Thomas was given authority to operate on Prictor’s bank account for certain purposes, and he abused the trust by applying about £IOOO to his own use.
