SWIMMING BATHS CARNIVAL
The Fibre Queen weekly Euchre Party will be held in Hamer’s sample rooms this evening. The Citizens’ Queen Committee has arranged a hockey match, ladies v. men t to be played on Easton Park to-morrow afternoon. A procession will leave the Triangle at 2.30 o’clock. Admission to the grounds will be by silver coin. To-morrow evening the Citizens’ Queen Committee will hold a social in the Anglican schoolroom. Dancing, games and music. Admission 1/-
A shop day was held on Saturday by the Sports’ Queen Committee, splendid business being done. Thanks are due to those who so kindly donated cakes, etc., which helped to make it such a financial success. Competitions drawn were won by: Mr. Hutchins, tea; Miss P. Skellen, dinner; Mr. Astridge (Levin),'chocolates; Mr. Scobie, socks; Mr. Barron, flour; Mr. Stevenson, coal; Mrs Fuller, cushion; E. Firth, cake.
A 1 most successful children’s dance was held on Saturday night for the Farmers’ Queen candidate, the ltitle ones spending a very enjoyable time, going home very happy. The adults took charge at 10 p.m. all enjoying themselves to the limit.
