A graceful poi dance by local Maori maidens was splendidly given and had to be repeated. Mrs Corn had to respond to an undeniviablc encore for her vocal item. Honour), he played a number of selections to the delight of the audience. Mrs Coughtrey sang “Yes Sir, That’s My Baby,” in costume and was accorded a good reception. Miss Scadden was equally successful for her character song “The Vagabound.” Mrß. Newth displayed his ability as a master of the slide trombone. Mr B. Taylor’s fine rendering of the evergreen “Mary” brought forth a recall when lie sang “Come to the Fair” with equal success. Mr. Hakaraia’s rendering of “Pal of my Cradle Days” met with signal success. The revue company finalised the concert with a chorus “Only Me Knows Why,” followed by the National Anthem. Messrs Jensen and George officiated as Accompanists.

Mr. J. K. Hornblow formally infroduecd the queen candidate, Miss E. Moore, who received a flattering ovation from the audience, and spoke on her behalf and thanked all for their assistance. Special mention was made of Mr. Tui Carter for training the choruses, to the performei’s and the committee, and especially Mesdames Fuller, Broad and Cotter.
