King of Fox ton, was united to Harry Charles, second son of Mr. and Mrs G. Edwards, Beach Road, Foxton. The vicar, Rev. W. 11. Walton, was the officiating clergyman. King. Tiie bridesmaid, Miss Edith Heasman, was beautifully attired in a dress ol: lavender crepe-de-chene and veil to match and carried a. bouquet of violets with violet and silver streamers. Mr W. King, brother of the bride, acted as best man. The cliurch was beautifully decorated for the occasion by the friends of the bride and a floral bell was suspended above the bridal party. The service was fully choral as a mark of esteem to the bride who for many years has been a member of the choir, and on leaving the church she was presented with a “lucky horseshoe.” Mrs E. Jackson presided at the organ. The bridegroom’s gift to the bridesmaid was a gold armlet. After the ceremony a large number of guests were entertained at the wedding breakfast in the Moutoa Tearooms by Mrs E. Baker, sister of the bride. Later in the afternoon the happy couple left on their honeymoon, the bride travelling in a coat frock of wedgewood blue with hat to match and black fur coat, the gift of the bridegroom. The bride was the recipient of many useful and beautiful presents, including several substantial cheques and a handsome canteen of cutlery from the “Kiwi” Club. On their return from their honeymoon Mr. and Mrs C. Edwards will lake up their residence in Foxton. The Herald joins with their many friends in wishing Mr and Mrs Edwards health and happiness.
