ROSE FINISHES THIRD.
COMPETING IN NORWIAY. Olso, July 31. At the international athletic meeting, the 400 metres flat race was won by Honnor, of Australia, in 51.5 see. Rose, New Zealand, finished third in the 1500 metres flat race, which was won in 4min. 11.7 sees. Copenhagen, July 2. Ferris (England) won the Sparta Club’s International Marathon, of 33.7 kilometres. Rose retired in the last lap. Rose won the two thousand metres Obstacle race.
