CORRESPONDENCE.
(To the Editor)
Sir, —In a note to my last letter you stated that it was hoped that the site question for the baths would not prejudice the carnival effort. Well,, sir, I still think it Wiijll. Since writing my letter a meeting of the .Carnival Committee has been held and the site question was discussed and according to your report, it was decided to hold the site question over until after the carnival. To leave it over, sir, may prejudice one or other of the queen candidates' success and possibly the loss of a good round sum. At present the committees do not know how much money will be required. I would suggest that a deputation from the committees wait on the Council and discuss the matter, as it is no use working in the dark as we are at present. Thanking you in anticipation—Yours etc., BATHS.
