FLOOD AFTERMATH.

EROSION AT MOUTOA, The subsiding Hood water at Moutoa has disclosed a serious erosion by the river near Mr. M. Newth’s property, Poplar Road. At this spot about seven chains of bank has disappeared and the river has so encroached into the adjoining property that it is now' only about 10 yards off the road. The river has formed a right-angle bend at this point. No other serious damage has been reported yet.
