WELLINGTON DEFEATS MAORIS.

Wellington, Last Night. Before an attendance of 4000, Wellington defeated the Maori All Black team by 28 points to 10. The game was at times brilliant, but there were long spells of ragged play. Neither side handled the ball with certainty, and there was not enough team work. Wellington’s score consisted of a try by Nieholls, a try by Pringle, converted. Tyree kicked a goal from a mark, Nieholls potted a goal, Taylor potted a goal, Thomas a try, Sutton a try, converted by Oregan, and Tait a try. For the Maoris, Watene scored a try, S. Gemmed scored a try, Avhich Watene converted, Barclay scored a try, which Wlatene converted, and Wineera scored a try.
