SWIMMING BATHS CARNIVAL
The Fibre Queen Committee are holding a Euchre Party in the Beach Hall to-morrow evening. Conveyance leaves Triangle at 7 p.m. The Citizens’ Shop Day is on July 31st. Donations received with thanks.
A Euchre Party was held in Perreau’s on Monday night for the Farmers’ Queen, there being a good attendance. The ladies’ prize was won by .Mrs Perreau while the “booby” prizes went to Mr Dudson and Mrs Smith. Another of these interesting evenings will be held on Monday, August 2nd. . A social evening was held in Mrs Perrcau’s on Tuesday, for the Citizens’ Queen candidate, music, games and competitions being indulged 'in. At the conclusion a vote of thanks was accorded Mrs Perreau by Mr Hinds, on behalf of the Committee, all joining in singing “For She’s a Jolly Good Fellow.” A box of handkerchiefs was drawn for and was won by Miss Isla Hunt.
