A pleasant social function took place at the residence of Air. and Airs W. Dudson, Afarotiri, last night, when a large number:; of .*? friends gathered to farewell .them prior to their departure for - Te Arolia. Games were indulged in and a most enjoyable evening spent by all present. At a suitable juncture, Air. W. In doing so, he expressed regret at the loss the district was sustaining in the departure from their midst of two such popular residents as Air. and Airs Dudson. Air. Dudson was giving up farming and going to Aroha in search of good health, and he wished them both, every success, health and happiness in their new home. Air V. AfeDowell returned thanks oil behalf of Air. and Mrs Dudson and all joined in singing “For They Are Jolly Good Fellows.”
