P.W.M.U.
The annual meeting of the “Presbyterian Women’s Mission Union” was held on Thursday afternoon in the church. The Rev. F. McDonald presided and opened the meeting with prayer. Regret was expressed that influenza prevented the president (Mrs McDonald) and other members from attendance. The balance-sheet for the .year ended showed receipts £9 (not including special collections for the rest homes for Missionaries on furlough, and Miss Henderson’s birthday gift. The sum of £7 was allocated as follows-Home Missions, £2; Maori Missions, £2; Hebrides Mission, £2; Women’s Beneficiary Fund £l. It was resolved to place on record appreciation of Mrs McDonald’s (retiring president) work in connection with the P.W.M.U.
