REGISTRATION FIGURES. Further evidence of the popularity of the motor vehicle is shown by the fact that the number of registrations in New Zealand up to June 30th last has reached the total of 140,796. The registrar’s return gives the following particulars of the vehicles registered:— NORTH ISLAND. Cars .. 57,059 Trucks etc. .. 13,262 Cycles .. 16,249 Total .. 86,570 SOUTH ISLAND. Cars .. 35,754 Trucks etc. . . 5,834 Cycles .. 12,638 Total . . 54,226
