THE WEATHER.
The Government Meteorologist wires as follows at noon to-day: Indications are for freshening south-easterly winds strong to gale. The weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled. Heavy rain is to be expected. Barometer falling, but rising after about 10 hours. Seas considerable; tides poor.
