PETER. B. KYXE STORY AT TOWN HALL. “The Golden Strain,” based on Peter iB. Kvne’s story which is screening at the Town Hall tonight, is an unusually good picture. It is the story of a young officer who was handicapped by a low streak” and how he overcame hi* weakness when the supreme test came. One of the big dramatic climaxes is a thrilling battle scene in which the Tenth Cavalry clash with several hundred Apache Indians. Kenneth Harlon and Madge Bellamy play leading roles whilst Ilobart Bnsworth and Ann Pennington are also prominently east. A comedy “Peacemakers” scenic and Nows also. Prices as usual. Johnny Hines has never appeared in a poor picture, and his latest “The Early Bird,” screening on Monday, is among his best. Johnny as the -1 a.m. niilkman who mixes milk with love and drives his carl to a glorious victory of bigger and belter babies is a scream. Supporting films are “Hard boiled tenderfoot,” comedy, and Patlie Gazette. The'tremendous photo-dram-atisation of the Old Testament “After Six Days,” will he screened on Friday Ifith only. ROYAL TO-NIGHT. Many picture patrons take delight in fathoming the plot of a story before the finish. The management of the Royal Theatre issues a friendly challenge to them in the case of the current picture, “Before Midnight,” starring William Russell. The picture deals with the theft of a famous gem from Rome, the recovery of the jewel and the arrest of the guilty person. There is a wealth of love interest in the story, but in its mystery the picture is most unique. Monday: “Judgment Of The Storm.” Straight from the heart and soul of a plain housewife, came the ideas for this mighty photothriller. A picture for all the word to see. It is human—humble it is great because of its truth, it is absorbing because it has all the elements of entertainment that you go to the theatre to see.
