FOXTON (6) v. TECHNICAL SCHOOL (0). ' The match between the Foxton ladies club and the Palmerston N. Technical School girls team took place on Easton Park yesterday afternoon before a fair crowd of spectators, and resulted in a win for Foxton by 6 points to nil. Foxton attacked throughout and kept the visitors busy defending, and some good work was done by the Tech, goalie in keeping down the score. Foxton’s goalie was not called upon to do much as Mrs Arcus drove back unfailingly. The first score was registered by Miss Walls centering to Miss Stevenson who made no mistake. The second score was from a combined movement by Misses Ella Patterson and Vertongen, the latter scoring with a hot shot. A fine solo effort by (Miss Groom for Tech, failed for lack of support. Miss Walls sent another shot to Miss Vertongen in the centre and after a scramble the latter beat Tech, goalie and scored. The fourth score was from a shot centred by Miss Walls which enabled Miss Henskie to net. A solo effort by Miss Ella Patterson culminated in 'her finding the net. Before the conclusion Miss Patterson added a final score, the game ending Foxton 6 Tech. nil. For the winners Misses Walls, Vertongen, Barber, Gower, Stevenson, Patterson and Mrs Arcus were always prominent, while Miss Groom, for Tech, was the most outstanding player. Messrs F. Woods and Chapman were the referees.
