FOXTON AMATEUR CYCLING CLUB.
A meeting of the above Club was held in Mr. Little’s garage last night, presided over by Mr. G. F. Smith.
Various correspondence was read and received. It was decided that a road race 1)0 held over a 32-mile course, from Foxton, through Oroua Downs, Taikorea, Rangiotu, Bainessc, Himatangi and back to Foxton, to finish in Easton Park through the Johnston street entrance. The date of the race was fixed for Wednesday, 28th July, to start al 2 p.m. The prizes are to be as follows: — Ist; trophy valued at £8 8s: 2nd: trophy value £3 10s; 3rd: trophy value £1 ss. Mr. G. Watson, of Levin, was elected handicapper, Mr. G. F. Smith starter and Mr. W. Neville time-keeper. It was also decided to lull'd a series of concerts in the near future to augment the Club’s funds, and Messrs Smith, Blanchette, 11. Perreau, G. Coley and P. Little were elected a committee to go into !he matter.
