MAXAWATU DRAWS WITH INDIAN TEAM. About seven thousand spectators witnessed the above match on the Palmerston show-grounds yesterday afternoon, when Manawntu equalised with the Indian team in the first drawn game of their tour. Manawatu put up a magnificent performance, leading by three to nil at half-time. After the visitors had scored throe successive goals in the second half. Manawatu again assumed the lead, but just before the finish Songara Singh robbed Manawatu of a win by finding the net.
