PARLIAMENT.
Signs of the termination of the Address-in-Reply debate were furnished in the House of Representatives last night. The speeches dragged on during the afternoon, and when the time for the supper adjournment arrived Mr. Speaker had almost declared the motion on the debate carried when it was realised that another speaker had risen to address the House. The adjournment was moved at 11.4 p.m. and the debate may be finished today.
