FOXTON GIRL GUIDES.
The newly-formed company of girl Guides, some 50 strong, attended parade service at the Aiethodist church on Sunday morning, under the command of ActingCaptain Dent. Aliss Browning formerly Acting-Captain, was a'lso present. Forming up in the schoolground the members of the company, looking very smart in their new uniforms, marched to the church where in addition to taking part in (lie singing and antiphoiial reading of tlie Scripture lesson, they also recited the very beautiful Guides’ Prayer. Two addresses, appropriate to the occasion, and able to be understood by the Guides, were given. The first of these addresses was from, the text “I will Instruct Thee and Teach Thee; I will Guide Thee with Aline Eye upon Thee,” and the second from the words “That Thou Mnyest Approve things that are Excellent.” At the conclusion of the service the congregation remained seated whilst the Guides marched out and were subsequently dismissed.
