FOXTON FOOTBALL CLUB.
COMMITTEE MEETING. A committee meeting of the above club was held last night, presided over bv Mr. 11. Hutchins. Before general business was diseased the Preident welcomed MesdaDies Procter, ITcasman and Stevenson who had signified their willingness to superivse a shop-day to raise funds for (lie erection of a
dressing-room on the raco-conrsc. .After a general discussion i! was decided to hold a “shop-day'* on July 3rd and several gifts for compel it ions were promised. f! was derided to hold a i;il in the Masonic Hall on Monday evening next at which all club players and their lady friends are to be entertained by Iho committee --■the ladies to provide a basket. The medals won by club members ..I 1 ! he. presented at the function. Me Mainer Procter, Hoasman and S'even-,!;!! wcie thanked for their a!tendance and kind oilers of assist nr.ee. Re insurance claims of playois, if'was decided |o lake uo further action and the union's insurance scheme was adversely criticised. 'ike union noiilied that Wernroa had withdrawn from the fourth giadc competilion. II was decided to apply to the Racing Club for percentage of football gate receipts for last year and to apply same to ground improvements. The secretary reported a credit balance of £6 10s lOd and stated that a number of subs, were still l i come in. Resolved to notify all vice-pre-sidents of future meetings. Tin* matter of abandoning the senior match with Southern County, to lie played on Saturday at I’arnpnranmu, was left in the hands of ill? President and Air. Procter.' It was pointed out that the expense of travelling such a distance and tons of time was an obstacle io most senior players. Several other minor matters weie discussed and the meeting rose. X itu el big of the local Businessmen’s team will be held in Mr. Little’s Cycle Shop at 7 o’clock this evening. A full attendance is requested.
