DIED IN HIS BUNK.
Hawera, June IG. George Rowland, aged about 40, a married man with six children, the eldest only ten, died in a bunk in a bushmen’s camp, near Hurleyville, on Monday night. His two mates and volunteer helpers from outside had a strenuous time blunging the body over three miles of densely-wooded hilly country, and they did not reach the settlement until dusk.
