W.C.T.U.

Thc monthly meeting of the local Women’s Christian Temperance Union was held in the Methodist Sunday 4 ! Schoolroom on Thursday afternoon. Mrs McDonald presided and the meeting was opened by hymn and prayer. Minutes of the previous meeting and the usual business followed. As it was White Ribbon Day, a most interesting paper was read by Mrs Chrystall on the “White Ribbon.” This is a paper edited by Mrs Pcryman, and is well worthy of being taken into all homes. Mrs. McDonald also read an interesting article and earnestly urged the members: to try and secure more subscribers for the “White Ribbon” paper. Three new names were submitted for membership and the meeting closed with the Benediction.
