HANGERS (4), FOXTON (0). The above teams met on Easton Bark on Saturday last. Rangers won .the toss and elected to play inwards the southern goal. Both teams started in real earnest, both goals being visited in turn. Rangers proved slightly superior and was the more aggressive team, opening the scoring after twenty minutes play by a fast shot from the left, which gave the Foxton custodian no chance to save. Even play followed fora time, both teams putting in some good work. Rangers forced a corner from which they scored just on the eqjl of half-time, Rangers 2, Foxton 0. The second spell started keenly. Rangers dashed up and registered their third goal easily from a long shot, which the Foxton keeper failed to hold. Though three goals down, this was not a true reflex of :lie game. Foxton had all the hard luck and between over eagerness and good goal keeping on the part of their opponents they failed on every effort, many good shots being sent in being deftly turned aside. Ranger’s mid-field work was much boiler than that of Foxton and thc.V never failed to take any advantage (hat came their way, scoring their fourth goal after twenty minutes of the senmd half had gone.
