RISE IN PETROL PRICES.
KEROSENE ALSO DEARER. Auckland, May 31. The price of all first grade brands of petrol sold through pumps was advanced 3d. a gallon on Saturday, and the charge for case petrol was increased Is. for eight gallons. Household kerosene is also Is. a case (eight gallons) dearer and power kerosene was advanced 6d a case. The new rates follow increases in the United States during the last few weeks. It is reported that the price of benzine has risen 1/6 per case locally.
