WEDDING.

ROBINSON—BELL. The marriage took place at St. Mary’s Church, Levin, on Wednesday of Edward Merton, second son of Mr. and Mrs C. Robinson, Foxton, and Ruby Marion, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs G. Bell, Levin. The Rev. J. C. Davies conducted the marriage service. Tito bride was given away by her father, and she made a charming picture in her wedding gown of ivory embossed tageta, with circular flounces of gorgette trimmed with silver lace. Her veil was arranged so as to give a. train effect, and finished with orange blossoms. She carried a sheath of Longiflora lilies and maidenhair fern. Miss Amy Walton was in attendance as bridesmaid, and she wore a dainty frock of cyclamen satin charmeuse, embroidered at the waistline with a gold basket and rose-buds, whilst the other bridesmaid, Miss Rita Da wick, cousin of the bride, wore a pretty frock of Rose Marie georgette, with posies of autumn tints. Both bridesmaids woDe gold-swathed hair-bands, and carried French posies of autumn tints, maidenhair ferns and carnations. Enid Ferguson, a niece of the bride, acted as flower girl, and was dressed in cream crepe-dc-cliene, an artistic arrangement of rose-buds, fashioned in the form of a head-dress, completing the effect and matching a basket of (lowers. Messrs. A. Robinson (Palmerston North), and W. H. Bell (Levin) acted in the capacities of best man and groomsman, respectively.

Mrs Bell, mother of the bride, wore a handsome frock of cinnamon brown morocain, together with a black hat decorated with ospreys, whilst. Mrs Robinson, pi other of the bridegroom, wore a gown of black radium lace, lightened with deft touches of silver.

About 80 guests were present at the reception held in the Druids’ Hall, which had been delightfully decorated in cerise and white. Many messages of goodwill and happiness were received by the happy pair, who afterwards left for the North, the bride being attired in a smart tailored brown suit, with hat to match.
