NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW.
Prize schedules are now available for both the National Dairy Show proper, and the subsidiary Afanawatu Poultry Association’s Show. The dates as will be seen in our advertising columns are 15th to 19th June, and Show entries close on Ist June. A long list of Stock Sales and Breeders Aleetings will be time-tab-led including a Show and Sale of fat stock. Friday, 18th June, is set apart for a very comprehensive schedule of ring competitions with some new events. One of these not hitherto tried here is the Cigar and Umbrella race, which will without doubt prove both attractive and amusing. A combined committee of A. & P. Association and Alanawatu Hunt will he in charge of the ring events and will guarantee that there will not be any slow waits when the programme starts. The committee has decided to throw the grounds open this year for parking cars for non-members as well as members at a nominal charge and hot water will be provided. Alore
space is being allotted for motor exhibits this year and what has been a constant disappointment at Winter Shows for years past owing to lack of accommodation for this section will be overcome. Contemplating exhibitors should now get their applications in to avoid disappointment. General entries close Ist., June and Schedules may be had post free on application to the secretary, box 85, Palmerston North.
