SUPREME COURT.
IN DIVORCE. At |the Palmerston North Supreme Court on Saturday His Honour Mr. Justice Alpers dealt with undefended divorce petitions. Separation for three years and upwards was alleged by Sarah Jeffrey, of Marotiri, near Foxton, in seeking a dissolution of her marriage with George Jeffrey, of Kaikoura. Petitioner, who was represented by Mr Innes, dejrosed that she and respondent had been married in 1904 and had afterwards lived at Ivawakawa and near Foxton. In 1915 owing to their inability to get on together, they had agreed to separate, and since that time they had lived apart. For the last five years respondent had not supported her. There were three children of the marriage. Sydney Walter Dudson, labourer, residing at Foxton, gave evidence that lie knew the parties to have been living apart for three years and upwards, and that petitioner had been working to support herself. A decree nisi was granted, to be made absolute after three months, with costs on the lower scale against respondent.
