ALLEGED BREAKING AND ENTERING.
TWO YOUTHS CHARGED. Levin, This Day. At the Levin Police Court yesterday, before Messrs M,. E. Lancaster and H. J. Richards. J.’sP., Arthur Henry Chambers and Hector Perreau were charged (1) that on 15th April at Levin, they did break and enter the shop of Messrs Cameron Bros, and steal therefrom articles to the value of £35; (2) that on April 23rd., they did steal money and wearing apparel of a total value of £lB 10/- from W. M. Clark Ltd.; (3) that they did also steal from C. H. Bould a football and certain barber’s requisites to the value of £1 3/8. Mr Free appeared for Perreau and Chambers was not represented by counsel. Constable Bagrie conducted the case for the police. Chambers pleaded guilty and was ordered to come up for sentence at the Wellington Supreme Court. Perreau, who pleaded not guilty* was ordered to stand trial at the next sitting of the Palmerston N. Supreme Court. Bail was allowed in his own recognaisanee of £IOO and one surety of £2OO.
