FOXTON PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

LADIES’ SOCIAL GUILD. Mesdames Petrie and Brookes entertained members and friends of the “Presbyterian Ladies’ Social Guild” at the home of Mrs J. Ross, last Wednesday afternoon. Despite the unfavourable weather twentyfour ladies attended and spent a most enjoyable time. Two original competitions and musical items tending to make the time pass very quickly and pleasantly. Much regret was expressed at the departure from Foxton of Mrs McLaren, one of the Guild’s faithful members. On behalf of tlie members Mrs McDonald asked Mrs McLaren to accept a small token of remembrance of i lie many happy times they had all spent together. Mrs McLaren feelingly responded, after which those present joined in singing “For She’s a Jolly Good Fellow” and “Auld Lang Syne.”
