NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW.

AfT PALMERSTON NORTH. The prize schedules for the 192(3 Winter Show are now available and may be had post free on application to the Secretary, P.O. Box 85, Palmerston North. Intending exhibitors in the poultry section should specially apply for poultry prize lists as these are issued, in a separate booklet, The dates set aside for this year’s fixture are the 15th, to 19th June, inclusive, following the usual custom of holding it on or about the third week of that month annually. A prgoressive Committee, spacious grounds and buildings, constant and enthusiastic supporters, central locality, and easy charges are the factors that have been behind this famous show. It would appear that the forthcoming event is not to be a whit behind its notable predecessors except in time, as all signs .point to a very successful function. The halls are being well booked up and an excellent display of the various kinds of machinery is always attractive to the ordinary spectator. Intending exhibitors are advised to get their applications for space in as soon at possible. The Committee have provided a comprehensive prize list this year, ranging from horse leaping coinpetitions, to fine needlework, with butter, cheese, honey, apples, vegetables and other sections in between.

At the same time and place will be held the Annual Show of the Manawatu Poultry Association, now recognised as the leading Poultry Show in the Dominion. Entries close for all classes on June Ist., so if you have not alleady received a prize schedule send for one right away and get vour entries in early.
