BOROUGH COUNCIL.

SPECIAL MEETING. A special meeting' of the Foxton Borough Council was held on Tuesday night. Present: His Worship the Mayor (M. E. Perreau, Esq.), and Crs. Woods, MvMurray, Adams, Parkin, Walker, Cowley, Rand, WSnstanley and Thompson. NIGHT SOIL REMOVAL. On a ballot being taken Mr. R. Byne was appointed nightsoil contractor. The Town Clerk submitted quotations for a heating and spraying machine for tarring purposes in connection with roads and streets improvements. After discussion it was decided that it would not he wise to invest in expensive plant at present, but the Clerk was instructed to make enquiries concerning the prices of a tar boiler and roller.
