FOR YOUNG AUSTRALIANS.

A NEW FORTNIGHTLY! We have received from the “Triad” Magazine of Australia Ltd., a copy of its new publication, “Cobbers,” a fortnightly for young Australians. “Cobbers” is turned ■ out in the same lavish style as the “Triad” magazine. The illustrations to the boys’ and girls’ serial stories have been done by some of the finest artists in Australia. We are pleased to note that Australian authors and Australian artists have been exclusively employed. In addition to the serials, there are numerous other departments, such as hobbies, puzzle pages, competitions for young folk ranging from six to fifteen years of age. The tots have not been forgotten, their section contains Fairy Stories illustrated by Pixie 0. Harris. Perhaps what will prove -the most popular feature of all is the comic character “Tibby” created especially for ‘Cobbers’ by the brilliant young Australian biack and white artist, reg., Coulter. Extraordinarily liberal cash prizes are offered for stories, essays, poems; and drawings sent in by Australian school children. We can honestly recommend this magazine as the best of its soxt yet produced by an Australian publisher.
