NEAR COLLISION.
BOARD OF ENQUIRY ADJOURNS. Palmerston, Yesterday. The Board set up to inquire into the circumstances which caused the north-bound Limited express to overrun the signals last Wednesday night, has adjourned sine die without hearing any evidence. It is understood objection to the constitution of the Board was taken by the locomotive men, who asked that their section of the service should be represented on the Board.
The signalmen, through their representative, have asked that similar consideration be extended to their section if the locomotive men’s request is granted.
