COMPENSATION ADJUSTED.

Hamilton, Last Night.

The tragedy at Tauwhare some months ago when an elderly man, Mark Webb, and his grandson, Walter Murray Collett, lost their lives through contact with a live power line, was recalled at a meeting of the Central Power Board. For some time there have been negotiation between the Board and relatives of deceased in respect to the payment of compensation and these have been brought to finality, th relatives agreeing to accept £677 in settlement, without prejudice in respee to the death of Webb and £SO in respect to Collett’s death.
