FIRE AT LEVIN.
BIG RESIDENCE DESTROYED,
Levin, April 9,
An eighteen-roomed house, owned by the Government and occupied by Mrs. A. Masters, og. the outskirts of the borough, was destroyed by lire this morning. None of the contents was saved.
The occupier left a fire in the range, the door of which was shut, while she was away feeding some pigs. When she returned, the building was in flames. There was a little insurance on the furniture, but the amount is not ascertainable.
