UNKNOWN MAN KILLED.
Napier, April 7. An unknown pedestrian, a man aged about GO years, was killed on the Taradale road this evening by being run into by a car driven by T. C. Lowry, of Okawa, a well-known cricketer. Mr. Lowry was travelling at 25 to 28 miles an hour, when the man suddenly walked across the road. The driver swerved, but his left-hand mudguard struck the pedestrian, killing him.
