BOWLING.
During the Easter holidays the local green was patronised by a few local enthusiasts. On Saturday afternoon a pairs tournament of two games of fifteen heads was played, the winners being Mattar and Barr (s), and the runners-up R. Thompson and Admore (s). MANAWATU CENTRE TOURNAMENT. The Centre tournament conditions at Palmerston North during (lie Easter holidays has resulted so tar in the position of rinks in section play being as follows: — SECTION A.
The semi-finals were commenced this morning, at 8.45 o’clock. G. 11. Armstrong (Pukekohe) plays W. B. Crump (Palmerston North), J. Herdman (Feilding) plays J. B. Reid (Lyall Bay), F. Needham. (Palmerston North) plays J. M. Thomson (Foxton), and G. G. Wilson (Palmerston North) plays G. Wlarcjrop (Woodville). It is hoped to have the tournament concluded by this afternoon. The Foxton rink consists of Wlinstanley, Jno. Ross, Christie, Thomson (s).
