Messrs. Levin & Co., Ltd., have received the folloAving cable from their London agents, dated 26th March, 1926: — “Frozen meat quotations (prices on a “delivered” basis, i.e., including storage charges, cartage, tolls, etc.) Down lambs, 28/42’s, 10id per lb; best North Island, 28/42’s, lOd per lb; ordinary North Island 28/42’s, 9Ad per lb; second quality lambs 28/42’s, 9d per lb; best North Island Avether sheep, 48/64’s, 64d per lb; best North Island Avether sheep 64/72’s, s|d per lb; ordinary North Island wether sheep, 48/64’s, 6d per lb; North Island ewes 48/64’s, 4gd per lb; North Island ewes 64/72’s, 44d per lb; New Zealand prime ox beef 160/220’s, 3Jd per lb. As compared with last week’s quotations, second quality lamb is id per lb. dearer and best North Island Avetkers 48/64’s per lb. cheaper. Beef 4d per lb. cheaper. The market is quiet but steady. RE-OPENING OF LIBRARY. Subscribers are notified that the Library is now re-opened in C. M. Ross Co.’s Buildings (upstairs). Books may be handed in at any time during library hours 3.0 p.m. to 4.0 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
