THE HEMP MARKET.
HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT.
The High Cimmissioncr’s cable, dated 20th inst., reads:—Hemp, Manila market, continues dull and barely steady, with buyers. “J” grade No. 2 March-May shipments £4l 10s od., but no sellers. Sisal easy, sellers quote No. 1. Tanganyika March-May shipments, £43 10s od. New Zealand market dull and easier, fair grade March-May shipments sold at £35; stocks in London at 28th February 36 tons, against 53 tons same time last year.
