PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

IIA R VEST THANKSGIVING

The harvest thanksgiving services and free-will offerings in connection with the local Presbyterian church took place on Sunday. The interior of the church was tastefully decorated and in front of the pulpit there was a fine display of fruit, vegetables, flowers, etc. The service of praise and sermons were in keeping with the occasion. The Rev. Frank McDonald occupied the pulpit. The free-will offerings are reported to he very satisfactory. During the offertory at the evening service, Mr. Kingston, of Palmerston North, sang “The Toilers” very acceptably. A sale of gifts was 1 held in the schoolroom last night.
