THE EDEN SEAT.
“In conformity with the selection made by the conference of delegates from the several branches of the Reform League in the Eden electorate, held at Mount Albert on March 1, I have pleasure in endorsing Sir .James Gunson’s nomination ns the Government candidate at the npproaehig by-election.” In making this announcement the Prime Minister, Rt. Hon.
J. G. Coates, added: “I appeal with conlidenco to all supporters of the Government in the- electorate to sink sectional differcricies an d unite with their full strength to ensure the retention of the seat by the party which has held it for so many years. I feel sure that with unity in our ranks the Government candidate (Sir James Gunson) will he returned with a substantial majority.”
