KNOCKED DOWN BY TRAP.

MAN LEFT ON ROAD IN AGONY.

Christchurch, March 1. Knocked down by an unlighted trap in Edge ware Road shortly after 12.15 o’clock yesterday morning, Robert (Inkster, ajged 20, lay in agony with a fractured leg, until he was picked up by a passing motorist nearly half an hour afterwards, although his cries were heard by residents half' a block away. The trap, which is said to have contained several men, continued on its way. The police are trying to identify the driver of the trap.
