Messrs. Levin and Co. Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated 12th February, 1926. “Frozen meat quotations (prices on a “delivered” basis, i.e., including storage charges, cartage, tolls, etc.)” Down lambs, 28/42’s, 10Jd per lb; best North Island, 28/42’s, 10|d per lb; ordinary North Island, 28/42’s, lOd per lb; second quality lambs, 28/42’s, 9gd per lb; best North Island wether sheep, 48/64’s, fifd per lb; best North Island wether sheep, 64/72’s, fipl; per lb; ordinary North Island wether sheep, 48/64’s, Cpl per lb; North Island ewes, 48/64’s, per lb; North Island ewes, 64/72’s, 4}d per lb; New Zealand prime ox beef, 160/220’s, 32 d per lb.
As compared with last week’s quotations, second quality lamb, wethers, ewes 48/64’s, and beef are Id per lb. cheaper. The demand continues poor and prices are unsteady.
